Organization Women Space, with the support of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, continues to organize lectures, presentations, workshops, film screenings and discussions on the topic of anti-fascism, for a third consecutive year.
The aim of these activities is to promote anti-fascist history and values. Alternative studies course is intended for and open to all those that want to expand their theoretical knowledge of history, sociology, philosophy, as well as to engage in activism. Studies have been specifically planned for individuals from Niš and South Serbia region.
Study course will include topics of history of anti-fascism in our country, the differences in the views of the anti-fascist heritage of Serbia and the current attempts at historical revisionism, the question of the left political options, connections between the left and feminism, anarchism, current social problems and so forth.
This year course will start in late February/early March. Lectures will be held on Friday or Saturday afternoon, depending upon the lecturer. A detailed list of lectures and exact dates of the event will be promptly delivered to the attendees e-mails, (a detailed list of lectures and current information about the studies will be available on the Women Space website). After each lecture there will be a discussion, where active participation of participants is expected. The regular attendance at lectures and other events of Antifascist studies is preferable. Students who are interested to receive a certificate are required to attend at least six lectures and write an essay on the topic of their choice, within three months after the course. The most accomplished works will be published.
Attending the course is completely free of charge and Women Space will be able to cover travel costs for a certain number of participants from out of Nis.
