For the occasion of the International Day against Fascism, Women Space organized a public lecture "Women anti-fascist history of Niš "on Saturday, the 9th of November. Visiting the monuments in honor of the people's heroines Aneta Andrejević, sisters Baković, Nada Tomić, Đuka Dinić, we have remembered that we have a large contribution of women in the liberation from the Nazis during the World War II.
Women Space organized another in a series of lectures as part of the educational program Antifascist studies on Friday, November 8th, in Media Center Nis. This time we have dealt with mechanisms of Nazi propaganda in the past and present, and its hidden, but still recognizable models...
Last weekend (September 27th through 29th) with conference School of Remembrance - learning about the genocide of Roma and how to fight anti-gypsyism, started a two-year project of partner organizations: Forum for Applied History (Belgrade), Roma Center (Göttingen) and Women Space (Niš).
This year Niš became the centre of women activism and art promotion for the fourth year in the row. FemiNiš 2013 was held from September 20th through 22nd and it offered the latest feminist driven topics from the region, encouraged women activist creativity through a series of workshops...

As a state party to the Convention on Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), Republic of Serbia presented its second and third joint report on the application of this Convention at the 55th UN CEDAW Committee session held in Geneva on July 18th 2013.
Women Space organized its Feminist Summer School (FSS) for the fifth time on Divčibare from July 23rd through 28th, 2013. FSS aims to support empowerment and bring numerous subjects of the feminist movement closer to the participants. This year special attention was paid to deconstructing patriarchy and its mechanisms for domination and status quo preservation. Moreover, significant time was dedicated to violence against women as the most explicit and dominant form of power demonstration.
