6th Feminist Summer School (FSS) organized by Women Space with the support of Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, was organized in the beautiful ambient of the Bor Lake form 22 to 27 July, 2014. The aims were the same as in previous summer schools: develop critical thought in young women, learning about women’s movement in the region and the world, strengthening of female solidarity, and supporting the women from marginalized social groups.
In the scope of support of young women activism - The Mirror, young activists of Women Space, gathered in the informal group Afemme, the two-day workshop - coming out and partner relationships - was organized last weekend with the topic of Lesbian existence.
Women Space activists, coworkers, volunteers and friends marked the International LGBT Pride by public action on June 27th 2014.
Concerning 8th April, the International Roma Day, the Council for gender equality of Serbian government and the Office for Human and Minority Rights, in response to Roma Women Network suggestion, have all together organized the conference with the topic of the position of Roma women in the Decade of Roma inclusion.
Organizations of civil society fiercely condemn the call for lynching Women in Black by Radomir Počuča, spokesperson for the Serbian anti-terrorist unit of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia.
Within its Anti-Fascist Studies Course III, Women Space continues to cover topics on the conditions for creating fascist regimes and possibilities of strengthening resistance of contemporary antifascist movements.
Roma Women Network (RWN), which is comprised out of 25 Roma women organizations from entire Serbia, started this year’s Campaign in Belgrade on March 8th by joining the Women in Black March 8th protest march.
